Bothwell Bowling Club December 2019 Newsletter
Newsletter from President Marion To All Members
May I wish all members and their families a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
I should like take this opportunity of reminding Members of some of the events which have taken place and are planned for the near future.
First of all, I should like to congratulate the Coaching Team who have completed Bowling Workshops and modules at St Bride’s school, Bothwell. This was included in the school curriculum and the pupils sat a test and received certificates. This was an excellent programme carried out in a professional manner which was very much enjoyed by the pupils. It is planned to hold similar sessions at Bothwell Primary School in the next school session.
I should also like to congratulate Pauline McKnight and all her helpers who raised the magnificent sum of £2020 for St Andrews Hospice at the Sparkle Event held recently in the Club.
Ladies Christmas Dinner took place on Wednesday and Members and friends had a most enjoyable evening.
The Senior Gents are having their Christmas party on Friday 27th December starting with indoor bowling at Blantyre in the morning then back to the clubhouse for lunch. Andy Barr has left one of his quizzes to start the afternoon followed by the usual format of games – cards, dominoes, pool and darts
